Program of the meeting:

  • The lecture by PhD. Józef Szymon Wroński: Protection of tradition and value as the basis for the development of small enterprises.

  • Chancellor Maria Grzechynka speaks about the role of education in the activation of rural areas on the example of the University College of Tourism and Ecology in Sucha Beskidzka as an educational institution contributing to improving the skills of the local community.

  • The lecture by Marek Nocoń – the representative of the Foundation of Rural Cooperative Education Fund – about the role of education in the activation of rural areas under the project Local Action Group "Babia Góra joins us" for the development of Podbabiogórze.

  • Presentation of Poland's development policy for 2007-2013; discussion of theoretical assumptions as an inspiration for the practice by Andrzej Sasuła, the marshal of the Lesser Poland Voivodship.

  • The lecture Babiogórskie handicraft – Makowski embroidery and Stryszawskie toys delivered by Phd. Urszula Janicka-Krzywda from the Krakow Branch of the Polish Ethnological Society.

  • Toy workshop in Stryszawa.

  • Music workshops at the Hotel Monttis in Sucha Beskidzka; regional music show performed by children – participants of the "Babiogórska Szkoła Muzyk" project.
