CREATING A NETWORK OF EUROPEAN AREAS

WITH THE PLANNED PARTICIPATION

OF PROGRAM BENEFICIARIES – RESETAP

Project implemented in 2009-2010 as part of the GRUNDTVIG Lifelong Learning Program. APURE the Association for the Development of Regions cooperated with the French organization conducting educational activities for adults Etablissement public local d'enseignement et de formation professionnelle agricole de Périgueux and the Association of Adult Listener from Hungary Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok Megyei Népfőiskolai Társaság. The main goal of the project was to create a network of rural areas in Europe focused on participation of project authors – individual or joint – in creating enterprises or associations.

Six seminars were carried out during the project, two in each partner country: in France – 2009, in Hungary – 2009 and 2010, and in Poland – 2009 and 2010. The activities of the partners were based on economic, social, and cultural analysis occurring in each area, which allowed to develop a way to overcome procedures related to the creation of projects. RESETAP also aimed to implement a support network in four rural areas in Europe, those who operate on the basis of individual or collective projects awarded to them.

While implementing the project, the opportunities and advantages of own regions in the global context were analysed in such areas as: culture, history, institutions, and the technical-economic and environmental plan (local economy, environmental organization, branches, participants' activities, long-term environmental management). Participants shared their experiences on how to read and understand data in each area, as well as their diagnosis for future purposes. They used various methods to mobilize the local community and give appropriate meaning to the initiatives undertaken. They shared knowledge and experience in order to create a joint offer of accompanying activities taking into account the specificity of each area. Each of the project partners has also created its own website.
